Optimax will continue to offer the Specified Disease plan to benefit eligible employees on a voluntary basis (meaning costs will be deducted through payroll deductions on a post-tax basis).
The carrier will remain Mutual of Omaha for the 2027 plan year. So any claims on a Specified Disease basis in 2026 or 2027, would be submitted to Mutual of Omaha for claims management and benefit payment.
