Disability Insurance helps protect your income if you can’t work and get your regular paycheck. It can replace a portion of your pay when you miss work because of a covered disability. You also have partial benefit payments that can continue after you return to work. If your disability return’s within a period of time, befits can resume with no waiting period.

Optimax offers full-time employees both short- and long-term disability. This benefit helps protect your most important asset, your income! If you’re injured or sick and cannot work, this benefit will help provide you income replacement while you’re not working. Since this is a voluntary coverage, employees that elect to enroll will pay the full premium via post-tax deductions from their paycheck. Any benefits paid will be received tax-free!
In NY State, all eligible employees have access to statutory disability benefits. The normal benefit is 50% up to $170 per week, however Optimax Systems, Inc. provides an enhanced benefit for employees at 50% up to $510 per week. This benefit remains integrated with the voluntary short-term disability benefits. Please see your HR Department with any additional questions.
